Home Sweet Home

Who were are

Stavros has been actively advocating for the civil rights of people with disabilites and Deaf people, regionally, statewide and nationally, since 1974. Currently we provide independant living services for over 6,000 people in Western Massachusetts area. Home Sweet Home is a program that coordinates donations, volunteer labor through community programs, and skilled building guidance to assemble ramps. Home Sweet Home also recycles used adaptive equipment like wheelchairs, scooters, stair-lifts, etc.

About us

Home Sweet Home was born out of the frequent requests for ramps, and the financial hardships that arise after someone becomes disabled and dependent on use of a wheelchair or scooter for mobility. The cost of an average commercial ramp is around $5,000. Home Sweet Home has been able to cut those costs significantly through donations, discounts, volunteers, and community vocational programs.
